history of the internet

this layout is obviously not mine, i used one from createblog to make the layout accurate to one youd see on the older web.

in 1961, the concept of the "World Wide Web" was created by Leonard Kleinrock. In this earlier stage, the internet wasn't widely available like it is today, as it was only used by military and other large entities of that nature. In these early stages, the servers would frequently crash.

fast forward to 1991, when CERN introduced the concept of the "World Wide Web" to the general public. one year later, the first audio and video files were distributed via the internet. 2 years after its initial introduction, there are 600 websites on the web.
